Sky’z the Limit is an organization inspired by and named after
Skyler Prouty-O’Brien, and his mom, Jane Prouty, sponsored
primarily by the “Family Memorial Fund for Jane”.
Sky’z The Limit was formed in 2003 in memory of Skyler Prouty,
a young individual who lived with Cerebral Palsy for sixteen years.
During the winter of 2005, Jane Prouty passed away. Sky’z continues
in the memory of Skyler and Jane.
Despite Skyler’s many physical limitations, he enjoyed
life immensely. He participated in many activities including horseback
riding, painting, playing guitar, swimming and socializing with
friends.
Skyler did not believe in barriers. At Sky’z The Limit,
we hope to honor his memory by helping young adults with and without
disabilities break down barriers and build a stronger community.
Sky’z The Limit currently focuses on providing youth with the necessary
skills, relationships, and connections to transition smoothly from
high school into life after graduation. Since our incorporation
in February 2003, we have worked with hundreds of members of the
special needs community.
